More Australians every year are attending the dawn service at Anzac Cove on the Gallipoli Peninsula. Gallipoli is an iconic battle for Australians and Turks, who both claim it as a defining moment in their nation’s history. Turkish-Australian Dr John Basarin conducts tours to Gallipoli and has investigated the attraction of the battlefield for contemporary Australians.
